You've probably heard of the Iron Butt (riding 1000 miles in 24 hours). Well, we are happy to introduce the Trail Boss 250 - riding 250 miles of mixed dirt and pavement on a certified course in 12 hours or less.
We have created a challenging & fun 250-mile dual sport adventure route of the Texas Hill Country that riders must complete within 12 hours to be awarded the title of "Trail Boss!” There will also be a special edition Trail Boss 250 shirt and sticker pack.
The Trail Boss 250 Adventure Challenge is for riders who crave rugged terrain and the unmatched beauty of the Texas Hill Country. Based out of the TouraTexas Rally, this 250-mile route takes riders deep into the rolling hills, granite & limestone cliffs, and winding backroads that define riding in the Texas Hill Country. The Trail Boss 250 blends fast gravel roads, tight twisty pavement sections, and a challenging Colorado River crossing. This is an adventure challenge endurance event, so riders should be comfortable riding off-pavement and ready for a long day in the saddle.
We will be riding public paved and unpaved roads – there is no off-road or single-track riding. This is not a race or a timed event, but it will be fun for veteran riders and rookies alike!
To qualify as finishers and earn a Trail Boss 250 certificate of completion, riders must check in with Texas ADV Staff at the following:
The Start: The Trail Boss 250 will begin at 6am at the TouraTexas Rally.
The Checkpoints: Riders must complete the designated course, including checking in with one or more course marshals along the track. Course marshals will be stationed at clearly marked locations. Failure to check in with the course marshals will result in a non-completion.
The Finish: Riders must cross the finish line back at the TouraTexas Rally no later than 6:00pm. A late finish will result in a non-completion.

Participation in the Trail Boss 250 Adventure Challenge will be an add-on fee to your TouraTexas ticket purchase price. The Trail Boss 250 Adventure Challenge is not available as a standalone ticket. Your Trail Boss 250 Adventure Challenge fee also gets you a Trail Boss 250 shirt, sticker pack, & GPX track.
